The Allen-Bradley 1794-OB8EP/A FLEX™ I/O Safety Output Module provides SIL 3/PLe (Cat. 4) safety-rated control for critical machinery shutdown systems. Designed for Rockwell’s FLEX I/O platform, this 8-channel module delivers 24V DC protected outputs with redundant microprocessors and dual-channel diagnostics. Its compact form integrates 500mA continuous sourcing per point with cross-monitored short-circuit/open-load detection (<5ms diagnostic resolution). Housed in rugged polycarbonate with nickel-plated copper contacts, it operates at -40°C to +70°C and withstands 5g vibrations (IEC 60068-2-6). Integrated galvanic isolation (250V AC) and surge suppression (4kV per IEC 61000-4-5) ensure failsafe performance in electrical noise-heavy environments.
